Can I work with spreadsheets in HIPAA Claim Master?

The HIPAA Claim Master application has modules that allows for importing data to the database using spreadsheets or exporting data to a spreadsheet. To accomplish this, the application has four options:

oImport Method 1 

oImport Method 2

oExport EDI to Spreadsheet. 

oAdvanced Import Engine

 

What does each import method do?

See the details of each method below:

 

Import Method 1

To access this method, you can find it under the "Spreadsheet(Import/Export)" in the main window as shown below:

 

The "Import Method 1" option is under the "Spreadsheet (Import/Export)" tab.

Spreadsheet Import Mapping

If you choose the "Spreadsheet Import Mapping" option, you will see the following window (see Import Method 1):

Create SQL Table

If you choose the "Create SQL Table" option, you will see the following window (see Import Method 1):

Import Method 2

To access this method, you can find it under the "Spreadsheet(Import/Export)" tab in the main menu window as shown below:

Spreadsheet Import Setup

The "Spreadsheet Import Setup" allows you to configure how the data will be imported. If you choose the "Spreadsheet Import Setup" option, you will see the following window (see Spreadsheet Import Setup):

Spreadsheet Import

The "Spreadsheet Import" method allows you to import spreadsheets by browsing and uploading the spreadsheet file. Please note that to use this method, the spreadsheet setup must be done first. If you choose the Spreadsheet Import option, you will see the following window (see Spreadsheet Import):

It is important to note that the import fields must equal the saved configurations to ensure a successful import.

 

Export EDI to Spreadsheet

To access this method, you can find it under the "Spreadsheet(Import/Export)" in the main window as shown below:

 

The "Export EDI to Spreadsheet" option is under the "Spreadsheet (Import/Export)" tab.

The "Export EDI to Spreadsheet" option is under the "Spreadsheet (Import/Export)" tab.

 

Once you click this option, you will see the newly exported spreadsheet

This module allows users to select the options to export EDI data as a spreadsheet. The user may choose the format, the header, and the details.
