What is the root directory?

The root directory is the location in which all the processed EDI files will be stored within a pre-defined folder structure. In it, you will find all your EDI files sorted into several categories:

oInbox

oOutbox

oProcessedFiles

oEncryptedFiles

oSuspendedFiles

Within these directories, there will be folders for each Trading Partner and type of transaction. The location and names of the sub-folders are managed in the Trading Partner setup window.

This is a mandatory setting that must be configured before using EDI Exchange.
